Therefore most of the multi-wire machines have worked very little and they are not for sale.
One of our customer, which saws for third parties, has decided to buy new 6,3 mm multi-wire machines replacing the ones with 7,3 mm , which we are going to sell  accordingly.

Levibreton KG 4000 Flat Diamond -

Levibreton KG 4000 Flat Diamond has been specifically designed to level the slabs without calibrating them first, thus minimizing the diamond tool consumption and consequently the cost of transformation.
Since the measuring is performed on a stationary slab, it is possible for a laser unit, which is installed just before the Levibreton KG 4000 Flat Diamond polisher, to map the surface of each slab by pinpointing both the highest and the lowest point of the surface.
For each slab, the 6 diamond-roller levelling spindles MC-6 of the Levibreton KG 4000 Flat Diamond set automatically in sequence (mechanical and not pneumatic positioning) to the most convenient height depending on the removal capacity of each single MC/6 spindle, the distance between the highest and the lowest point of the surface and the preset working speed of the belt, thus making a significant contribution to the slab levelling.
The remaining pneumatic spindles, which are equipped with SG-8 heads featuring 8 oscillating bricks, also contribute to get a better levelling of the slab surface thanks to both the greater working diameter (510mm) and the 8 contact/working points of each head.

This results in perfectly levelled and polished slabs.

Breton vacuum resin- treating plants



Breton’s unique experience
Through its Vacuumbreton and Bretonstone plants for the manufacturing of compound stone (www.breton.it), Breton has been applying the vacuum and structural resin technology to the stone field since 1963. 
In 1994 Breton was the first-ever company that realised an automated plant for the vacuum resin-treating of broken and/or cracked marble slabs by soaking them in resin (immersion in resin).

In 1997, Breton was again the first to realise an automated plant for the vacuum resin-treating of cracked marble and/or granite slabs, without immersion in resin.
 

In its well-equipped R&D Dept., Breton continuously studies and develops new solutions for the application of structural resins to natural marble and granite. Nowadays, Breton’s Know-How is a unique and enviable inheritance in the field.


The vacuum resin-treating: a successful technology
Thanks to the vacuum, air goes out from the narrow crack lines of stone where resin penetrates more easily and deeply thus causing the slabs to be better restored.

 

Vacuum resin-treated slabs get a better polishing since each single crack line, even the narrowest, is filled up with resin. Furthermore, cracks saturated with resin prevent any seepage of humidity entering from the floor.

Breton patented and realised the plants for the vacuum resin-treating by spreading the resin on the surface of marble and/or granite slabs (without immersion in resin), and developed in its R&D Dept. both the formulation of the resins to be used and the parameters involved in the process. 

Breton transfers the complete Know-How to operate the plant and use the resins to its customers, and trains their operators as well.
 
In this picture it can be seen how the resin, purposely blue dyed to add contrast, has sunk in deep until the core of a marble slab, thanks to the vacuum.
 
Plant customised proposals
Breton weighs up the user requirements and offers him the most suitable plant and technological solution, customising its proposal. To-date, Breton has supplied a large number of resin-treating plants for marble and/or granite to customers operating both in Italy and abroad.

Supplied plants include either small plants for low production capacities, or medium and large plants designed for higher or mass productions.

The drying of slabs before resin-treating
Different techniques for the slab drying were tested (static hot-air drying with air dehumidification, hot-air passage, irradiation passage, static radio-frequency, etc.) and their advantages and disadvantages in terms of output and operating costs were crosschecked.
 

Breton suggests the most suitable drying techniques according to the type of resin used, the material to be resin-treated (marble or granite) and the required production capacity.

As for the static hot-air drying with air dehumidification, Breton developed special multi-decker vertical kilns ensuring a “homogeneous” drying of all the slabs housed in the kiln.



The software controlling Breton’s resin-treating lines
A sophisticated plant composed of several sections such as a plant for the slab resin-treating, operates properly provided it is controlled by a suitable software.
 
Such control software is another feather in Breton’s cap: up-to-date, flexible, multifunctional, developed on the strength of several plants operating in the world and featuring an easy to use and immediate user interface.
 
The peculiarities of Breton’s plants
An automatic slab resin-treating plant is composed of an ensemble of machines and equipment which, in their turn, are formed by single parts plus several small components. Each single part must operate properly and be long-lasting: this is the construction philosophy Breton adopts in the manufacture of its products as well as in the quality and functional choice of their components (electric, electronic, pneumatic components, heat generators, etc.).
 

Example of a plant for the net-reinforcing and vacuum resin-treating of marble slabs with polyester resin, with slabs returning to the loading point and moving on a conveyor placed under the processing line along its longitudinal axis.
